Charles Baudelaire’s essay, published in 1860, presents the author as an ardent supporter of intoxication, which makes the mind and senses capable of being in a state of exception. The German director Kai Grehn asked internationally well-known artists and musicians to re-interpret this text. The result is a unique listening and sound experience: Going into raptures over Baudelaire’s poetry.
